[Onepalestine.org] A political movement known as Zionism, which began at the end of the 19th century, has been busy sweeping away the history of the people of Palestine since it first attained power, first with a supposed mandate from the Bible that said the land was theirs, then with a mandate from Britain, tired of its imperial role there, who actually gave it to them. The Zionist’s motto then was “a land without a people for a people without a land.”

[Boingboing.net] Boing Boing: March 2004: BoingBoing pal JP points us to Kazaa Cleaner, which its makers describe as "a free and tiny Adware / Spyware remover utility especially designed for getting rid of all Spyware and Adware applications (i.e.,Scumwares) that have been bundled, past and present, with all Kazaa Media Desktop clients." Folks, I'm not recommending it, just pointing to the fact that it's out there. Several BB readers have written in to alert us to the fact that a download and attempted install triggers warnings in virus detection software.
[Boingboing.hexten.net] Boing Boing: March 2004: Grant Barrett, Assistant Editor, Lexical Reference and Project Editor, Historical Dictionary of American Slang for Oxford University Press sez: "The Macquarie Dictionary ('Australia's National Dictionary') indicates that the Australian ug/ugh/ugg boots derive from a trademark. The OED concurs and defines them as 'a proprietary name for a type of soft, sheepskin boot' indicating that it is used in Australian and New Zealand.
